it was a supposedly fun evening, with dinner and a horror dvd night @ charm's place. as i was leaving the house, i took my stuff, left my room, and locked my room door.

AND THEN i start to check for my keys. (i amaze myself with my stupidity)

No keys on me. Double, triple, quadraple check but no keys.

I called "2-finger charmie", and told her this joke. initially, she helped me looked up some locksmith. i called up a few locksmith but the cost is too high(about $200). we figured that breaking the lock is cheaper. so i proceed to break the door down.

few things i realised from this episode......

• doors do not break down easy like in the movies
• the door locks are pretty strong.
• the door do not come down just by crashing it with your shoulders, or kicking with your legs
  
• being locksmith is a lucrative trade(one of them told me to call back 10mins later because he has quite a few calls on hold)

anyway, i alternated between using my body and my legs. eventually i sort of took out the door knob and used to fork to unlock the door. and then put back the door knob(no damage done except a few scratch)

TADA!! my bunch of keys sits pretty on my coffee table. i shared the good news with charm and then on my way to dinner and movie marathon.

"good" move there, i hoped i learnt my lesson.

cooked using only one pot and a ladle.

just cook the fusilli, then dump together with Campbell's cream of chicken. top with shredded cheese then bake until cheese melts and turn brown.

not too tasty for a dinner, for the lack of meat. Probably will try a tastier creamy soup with more meat next time.

I propose for a day where there are proper use of emoticons. Where the emoticon is not part of a word, not flashy. As you can see, the above is a snippet of a conversation with Mavis the aimless sotong.

The first line, at first glance, it looks so cryptic. And there are worse examples, like a game of pictionary. See the picture, guess the word.

So don't assign emoticons to commonly use words like 'la', 'hi', 'there', 'hello', 'you'. It looks cute only if it is not part of a word.

i could turn the emots off. but there are some people with more erm....quality emoticons(such a thing?) that deserve a second look.

fair smooth skin, succulent and tender. ohh i want it! HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE!

Pictures of food has never made me crave for food much. Oh but the picture below. my oh my fair chicken. I got the urge to feed on those white chicken rice now.



on the topic of food. estee says one of her friends have not eaten half boiled eggs with kaya and butter toast from the coffeeshops before. How can!! its one of friggin essential breakfast sets in singapore coffeeshops. oh yeah and complete it with a cup of "Iced Milo".

i want my chicken. damn either i learn how to cook it. or i have to go source for it.

sunday was a boring day. morning was spent going to the airport to bring shennie fetch eunice. after that i was back home by noon.

i had the time to actually look thru my tutorial for monday. that was how bored i am. decided to go for a run in the school. my first run in dunnoe how many donkey months. did i say i was trying to hit the half-marathon mark by end of the year :(

anyway the run was kind of painful. lungs were bursting, legs felt like collapsing. i did about 20mins of run before i stopped.

school on sunday is pretty sporty. i see people playing hockey on the hockey pitch, the other end, a football match was going on. as i walked around, i saw 2 aussie guys kicking a footy(aussie rules footy), so i joined them. had a pretty good time kicking the footy, until i misjudged the ball flight while trying to catch it. now one of my finger is kind of swollen and aching.

now, to make exercise consistent and also to find a driving range.

the girls decided to go KTV. i decided to go. not because i am addicted to KTV, but i guess i have nothing better to do at home.

They came to my place for that evenng's dinner, which i cooked!! simple stirfried chicken and some vege. then off to a KTV in Boxhill, where we sang for freaking 9hrs can!!?? I have never studied 9hrs straight. but i can just sit inside for nine hours sing songs.

i don't know what they put in the lemon honey drinks, but we were kind of up and jumping while singing inside the ktv. by the time we finished, it was 3+4 am already.

we headed down to city for supper at macdonald's where some of us witnessed an example of my male species's unchivalrous way of dumping 3 drunk girls out of his M3.

Airport was the next destination, where we picked up Jet. After that send the whole bunch of them back to Franskston. It was daybreak and Saturday when we reached. I found a couch and just KO-ed till noon.

in the evening, we had a sort of a farewell dinner to celebrate for those who have graduated. we occupied two tables in the restaurant. nice food and the price is rather reasonable. except the location abit ulu.



These are the people on mine table. what about the other table? my butt was rather comfortable with the position, so i didnt get up and go take photos of the others.

Cascade's Stout standing on the wall. some friends went to tasmania and bought some from the Cascade Brewery and gave me two. now i have 3 2(drank one)

Went to airport to pick them up this morning. and what a nice surprise from them. thanks Ming Li and gang.

so if you want some favour done, remember i m actually quite friendly, won't bite. in fact i am very easily bought over. some biscuits, beer or a pack of chewing gum will do:p

new week, start of new semester. Have been looking forward to start of school. wierd huh.

have been going out quite often. ktv, movies, or just jalan jalan. until i find it sick to go out. but then my house is so quiet. so how.

anyway the first lesson of the semester was quite unplesant. went into the lecture theatre. Found some familiar faces, so did abit of catching up with them while waiting for the lecturer.

this waiting went on for 40-freaking-5 minutes!! he then came in said sorry and yada yada, didn't know that there was lesson...yadda yadda. said that he thought that it was something else blah blah blah.

"you thought, i think, who confirm??!!" i said that, in my head. Not aloud of course. I do not want to create any unpleasant situations in future, for example when he is marking my assignment, or my exam.

10mins later. the 1st lesson of the semester was done. how can like this?? Neh'mind. wait next time i do something.

do what? probably nothing.

thursday evening, the girls called me out for a KTV session. usually i wouldn't go KTV for fear that my singing would kill everyone present. but since i have nothing else better to do, then might as well go torture some eardrums.



but before singing, who can forget abt the food! chinese noodles and dumplings for! very nice and tasty dumplings. however the noodle was probably too oily for me and too much of some sauce. my tummy had a minor case of runs the next day.


Lets sing some songs!!

we sang from 8:30 to almost 4am!!! thats pretty darn long time!

in the morning, helped sent jason and friends to the airport where they are going for a trip to tasmania.

then with daph and char, we went to dandenong to get some PC stuff. going there reminds me of Sim Lim square, with quite a few computer stores there. but still, SLS kicks more asses with the 5 levels of shops.



dinner was at a korean restauant. KOREAN BBQ!!



Midway thru the dinner, an sms tone rang. it was mine. i took out and saw a message from an unfamiliar number. i opened it. halfway while it was opening, my mind told me.

"Exam Results"

true enough. exam results. i blurted out the news and my results. then both of them went sort of silent. i think both of them "kan cheong spider" already. an agonising wait of abt 10-15mins for charm before her results came in thru sms.

Next was daph. she did not apply to get her results thru sms. she couldn't wait so she got her friend to checked for her.

in the end we are all happy!!


WE CLEARED THE EXAMS!!!

it was supposed to be lonely days for me for the previous 2 days. but daph and charm were nice to invite me for dinner & movies on tuesday. so off i went and 3 less lonely people in the world.

did some groceries and we decided to make that dinner would be roast pork!!





cooking the roast pork stank the whole house and our clothings. took quite a while to get rid of the smell.

it could have been better. maybe less skin and fats. the skin ended up very crispy. however i felt so damn bad because as daph was chewing on the crispy pork skin, she cracked her tooth. oh well.....blame it on her lack of calcium lah :P

after dinner, it was movies time at the frankston AMC. we caught the return of the gay superman movie. lousiest superhero movie flick EVAR!!! bloody loser who cannot move on even after the ex-lover has already moved on. and the bad guy who don't really behave like a bad guy. ok enough of spoilers.

we were supposed to catch the Pirates of the Carribean BUT the stupid website's session movies don't tally with the actual. in the end, no Pirates:( only gay superman with his curly fringe.

so home we went and out came the cards and vodka!!! woohoo!!! drinks!! played abit and drank abit before ending the night!

this was my laptop a few days ago after it OD-ed on caffeine. took apart everything i can take apart and leave it to dry.

glad to report that it is alrite now. except a few key's cranky like the 'i' 'c' and '6'.

hopefully it can last another semester.

this morning i treated my laptop to a cup of coffee. well, almost a cup. it had some left after it spilt. i drank the last bit.

my heart ached when i saw the brown liquid splash onto the keyboard area. i immediately yanked the power cord from the socket, in hope that the laptop don't fry itself.

i cleaned up the area. i wanted to open up the laptop but i do not have any screw drivers, so i left it and went church. after that i bought screwdrivers and opened the laptop and try to dry the insides. I think its in critical condition man. Gonna try to turn it on later. hopefully it can survive.

This time round, i hate the airport. the bringer of words such as depart, seperation, maybe lonely? But i know the NEXT time round, it would be JOY!

estee's gone home:( sent her to the airport last night. Feel abit lost after i reached home, like i dun really know what to do. No one to disturb me( or for me to disturb). It feels wierd smsing her and talking on the phone. oh well, i will probably get used to this real fast:P

I have been back from sydney for quite a few days. went with estee, xpider and lilian. i have nothing much on sydney. just a few things that i discovered during the trip.

1. Sydney hates me. Flight delayed for a little more than 15hrs. a short nap and an afternoon reading magazines is a good way to pass the 15hrs.
   
2. I am lousy at taboo, the word guessing game. i suck big time at describing the words.
3. There are many ways of getting around in sydney. One will take us on a ferry and change of 2 buses. duration 2 hrs. The other probably will need only 1 bus and about half hr.
4. Taxi rides vary too. a ride from airport to the hostel cost 32.50. the ride from hostel to airport cost abt about half of that.
5. some taxi drivers are rather proud of their GPS system(won't stop talking about it). i just smile, nod and ask silly qns on it.
   
6. double decker trains. cool.
7. harry's pie. one of the supposedly must go place?can skip it if you really don't feel like. hotdog is good but not really that good(?????). skip the rest of their pies.
8. Pancake At The Rocks. good if you can't sleep at night. opens late (or never closes)
9. There are jay jays', jean west, supre and shops like this in sydney, just like what melbourne has.
10. If you must have Kripsy Kreme, try to have a freshly baked one. the ones at the sdyney airport aren't nice at all.
