Hello Melbourne,

Goodbye Singapore, well till the end of the year only. Gonna finish up my remaining 2 semester.

The send off at the airport wasn't that great. Maybe all tired liao. I keep coming and going:P
But hey who cares about whether my friends sent me off, when there was already a 'bak gwa' party the night night before, at my new place.

HC says to go there, if not he don't have much chance.

Ember, was the place for a Monday night out with ST. Nice setting, nice ambience, even great company! It is situated along side keong saik road, together with Hotel 1929.

Delicious!!!!
(sorry the appearance of apple tart was limited by the photography skills of yours truly)

Great place for a dinner date. But book in advance. Small restaurant, but nonetheless a very popular and highly recommended. Overheard some guests talking to the manager that they saw this restaurant's review in Melbourne.

The End of

End of week, end of job. I have finished my temp job. Now back to doing my work i was supposed to do for my paps.

Had a good time working temp. Making friends and having more interaction with people.

Ended friday with dinner at Lau Pa Sat with 3 other temp colleagues. Kicked off with some seafood and beer. Finished dinner and strolled to Suntec city area. Balaclava was the destination, but then ended up Paulaner for some drinks.

Had a great time just chatting with them. Its also probably the last time I see them too. But still its still great. Hope to see them soon.

After that headed down to Fisherman's Village with ed, HC, ang dao and his girlfriend, for ermm....some drinks. Catching up with them, chill under the moon and enjoying the slight breeze.

Not chance for me to do such things with them this week already. Australia here i come........again

More than a haircut

I went for haircut. The stylist gave me more than a haircut.

She gave me a cut on my ear. Complete with some blood oozing out from the wound. i felt the force on my ear, and i thought a piece of my ear is gonna drop out.

She must be jealous that i brought my girlfriend there.

My elf-like left ear does not need any alteration. I am quite happy with it in fact.

WHAT WE NEED IN THE WAR ON LITTERBUGS: DNA TRACING

Friday February 17, 2006

Letter from Sean Yeo

I REFER to the letter from the Hong Kah Town Council, "Town Council litter
watch" (Feb14), sent in response to Mr Thian Chen San's letter of
complaint about litterbugs.

I am also on the receiving end of dog fur, fruit peels, cigarette butts,
tissue paper and flyers thrown down from units above my flat.

I know that the Town Council and the National Environment Agency are doing
their best, but the problem will persist if the root causes of such
littering are not addressed.

Enforcement patrols or stakeouts are futile because the perpetrator may
only strike intermittently. A reminder letter is not effective if the
perpetrator does not read it.

I have a proposal for flats for which the ledges on which the
air-conditioning units are placed accumulate litter.

First, narrow down the possible offending units based on the projectile
path of the litter.

Second, photograph and collect the littered objects as evidence.

Third, visit each suspected unit - if necessary, enlist DNA tracing to
pinpoint the culprit, with the cost to be borne by the perpetrator;
educate all residents of the offending unit and get them to sign a form
acknowledging what they are taught; and inform the resident that if the
offence is repeated, his name and unit number will be posted on the public
notice board.

It may take a lot of work, but this will go a long way to create a more
pleasant living environment.

Narrow down units based on projectile???Photograph & collect evidence? DNA tracing?

Bring in Gil Grissom and his team!! If you do not know, he is from the hit series CSI, the team supervisor and one of the main lead in the series.

Read this entry in wiki on CSI.

Although I love this show very much, but what the criticism on the Wiki page is quite true. The show maybe really interesting, but it sort of lacks in some bits of reality.

I think he might have watched a wee bit too much of CSI, and suffering from the "CSI effect"

Haven't been

Exercising for awhile. No tennis, no jogging, no swimming, no cycling.

Because i still on Attend B status. Doc haven't clear me yet. So 'nurse' would not let me do physical exercise.

But i have been a good boy so far. Skipping cold drinks and taking my meds regularly. But i have been loading up on Chinese New Year goodies. mum says my body is 'cold'. So i have to load up on the heaty stuff. Eg Bak Gwa (BBQ slices of Mince pork).

Not that its helping me get better:p Its just an excuse to eat the goodies.

Oh well....continue my meds and rest. I wish i could play soccer like before....

Chalet coming up

A chalet is coming up tonight. Organized to get the former 16th and 36th Singapore Boys Brigade Company Boys (some are old boys with belly coming out already)

Been a long time since staying over at a chalet. Reminds me of the bunk sharing when in the army. It should be good. No bbq, just simple potluck. So no smelly clothes, hands dirt with charcoal and setting up of the bbq fire and wondering if the chicken is cooked under the dim lights.

So go enjoy your weekend!!!

They are back

The crowds' back. Everyone(almost?) is back from holidays and has awoken from the holiday mood. More cars on the AYE

The crowd is back at full strength on the MRT. But its ok. I have mastered the art of standing for long period while reading a book. Now reading Da vinci's Code by Dan Brown.

It seems more exciting than its earlier Digital Fortress. Read about a quarter already. It seems more people are killed in Da Vinci's code, therefore more thrilling.

It is another week before this work assignment ends. So so looking forward to it. $$ doesn't matter anymore. I don't mind slacking a day or two without pay. Supposed to be doing nothing now.

Definitely looking forward end of job assignment, then doing nothing (and hopefully squeeze in a golf game or 2) before going back to Melbourne to study on 26th.

Anyone keen for a game of golf?

Over and back to work

Chinese New Year Visiting should be over. Yet to visit some friend's family though.

Eating, receiving red packets. Its all good.

But sometimes, when i receive the red packets, i feel abit pai seh to take. Especially from my cousins whom might have played together when young. To receive from them, abit wierd.

Anyway, time to total up the sums. Good thing I no longer pass my mum the red packets. Therfore its all mine!! MINE!! muahahhaa!!! All your base are belong to us!!

And today back to work. Back to being a worm. It would be 3 days later before i become a dragon again. *ROAR*

Meanwhile try to imagine i am lazing around there, enjoying the breeze and sound of the crashing waves.
