lock-me-out-nator

a sunday morning which is good to sleep in. but i decided to go on a ubin trip with a few fellow lab rats. sleep came wanting, especially when sleep came at 5am the previous night with some whisky and i had to wake up at 7:30am.

weather didnt let down, though it was more on the warm and sunny. cycling was the main activity, so we rented some bikes and off we go to explore the island.





drink stalls that are ever present at almost every other junction. i half expected the prices of drinks to be sort of at the level of "murder and arson"(chinese idiom).

100plus going at $1.20 per can, which is pretty cheap considering we are very very thirsty already and in the middle of the island with no other source of drinks.

after lunch, i was so sleepy that i was looking for any excuses not to cycle anymore and go back mainland for my bed. my wish was granted after they decide we had explored all the routes shown on the map.

end result, tired legs, an uneven tan which makes me looks abit like roasted chicken, as commented by one of the lab rats. quite a fun day which is something different from routine.

remember the last afternoon nua session few weeks ago?

because of the desire, will and commmitment to purchase alcohol, i won myself a valentine's dinner for 2.

oh what luck, this is the first ever lucky draw that i won something in my life

oh what luck, i didnt manage to get anyone to go with me. so i gave the dinner away to ed and his wife. but after i gave it away, someone ask me to come out for dinner :(

v-day is seriously not a day to go out to dine. bloody queues everywhere, including restaurants at the airport. even sakae sushi, with the unromantic conveyor belt system, there was still a queue at 9:30pm. i wanted to tell the waiter that i do not mind sharing tables with other couples.

after surveying our options, i ended up having burger king for dinner with my part-time date/spare tyre.

remind myself to learn to cook kick ass meals. so that in future if i ever need to celebrate v-day, i can just get things done myself.

i have craving for steak now.

was having dinner at jack's place. when it was time to foot the bill, i happily took out my debit card to pay for it.

few minutes later, the waitress came back with the card. it seemed too fast to come back with the bill it seems. i was right.

"Sir, your payment by your debit card was declined."

i !@#$%-ed in my head, then took out some cash to pay.

luckily i took out the angpao money from the red packets, sparing me the possible moments of unwrapping my angpao money in public.

and luckily i was out with a bloke, not out on a date.

this only means one thing. my bank account is dried up, almost bone dry already!! i need to go dig around my room for any spare notes to last me till pay day.

this blog seems like its dying. nothing going on in my life that seem worthwhile for a mention here.

recently me and fellow lab rats were talking about our interests in our life. some answers were computer games, some say food and i would guess that some would might secretly wanna say their significant other, if not for the possible non-stop verbal jabbing and jokes that might come after.

one lab rat turned around and asked me. my head churned around for some stuff that interest me.

what is my interest in my life? either i have a really wide range of interest, or none that interests me.

i am not really into computer games, not into the beats of the dance clubs , not into food. my runs, cycling and sports that i might engage in? i do just these to occupy my free time.

i need something for this void. that......i have no idea what that is for now.

a run, same route as before. a little over 5km, a little below 30min. after the run, tried to do 3 sets of 6 pullups. could manage 2.5 set. close one eye....make do with it lah.

i see my bulge at my waist growing man. need to do something about it. so its gonna be a sort of active week. monday just had a badminton session with colleagues. then maybe a swimming session tomorrow.

then last sat was one of the rare rare moments of ktv-ing in singapore. went for the k-lunch offer with SH and my sis. food & drinks included in the offer, must say its quite a good offer.

the food was pretty good, probably because i expect something that is anyhowly cooked. and the period of time was sort of just right, not too long or short. when i am bored, maybe can consider going again.




what a random post. hopefully got more interesting stuff to put up in future. in the meantime, over and out!

i felt like i woke up on the wrong side of the bed, feeling quite easily irritated this morning. church ended and then lunch at the xin wang HK cafe.

food was alrite, not fantastic but good enough not to complain much. i quite like the way their chicken feet was cooked and the century egg porridge had quite a serving of .... century egg. not slices, not bits but rather chunks. i like.

i saw the weather then i told ed that its a good day to nua. he says alrite, go laze around my poolside, but he needs to get one serving of meat for his steamboat dinner.

we came out of cold storage with his one serving of meat.......and 3 bottles of wine. because the promo auntie says we buy 3 bottles, can have a $10 voucher. or its just his excuse of stocking up on wine.

sunday noon 'rot' session accompanied with a bottle of nice wine, a good rot session.


2 more bottles for another time.

1st week of work gone by. it's not too busy for me, since i am a sort of a temp for this project(gonna be transferred once some paper work is done), but i still got stuff to do. which is good, learning stuff which i didn't see before. more reasons to act blur wahahaha.

fellow lab rats have been bringing me out for lunch. there were like 2 afternoons where we took 2hr lunches as they took the opportunity to run some personal errands:P

ahhh....some privilege of being attached out to project sites.

with a job means less time bumming around, which is really good. i am growing bored of not having anything to do. friends are also getting jealous with my lifestyle of morning swims and bumming around and nua-ing.

this 2 weeks was also a period of time where i happened to see quite a few of my old friends, including one previous crush:P who is happily married and also AL, whom i 'pontang' and hung out frequently with when we were in secondary 3 and 4.

oh those afternoons of swims, blading and cycling.......when we were supposed to be in school.

its been a long long time man. when i saw AL, i was just so happy that i almost wanted to give him a bear hug. must grab him out for a meal and drink soon.

alrite going off for bath and zzzzzzz....over and out!
