dinner at home
about 2 weeks ago, had some friends, nick & his gf, rach over at my place for dinner to celebrate end of school term, but beginning of the exams :(
waiting for my friend to send me the photos. oh but what the hell.
a simple roast dinner, beef, mashed potatoes and asparagus with prawns.
i even bought a meat thermometer. figured that i would probably do such thing in Singapore still, so i bought it.
the beef, rub it with salt pepper and some herbs. stick the thermometer into the piece of meat, chuck it into the oven.
wanted to slow cook for longer time at lower temperature for a medium rare doneness. but i cant wait lah!! so its not as tender as i wanted. more like done at medium. but still good:P
next time cook earlier.
mashed potatoes, add milk, butter, white pepper to taste.
asparagus with prawns. seared and cooked the prawns with white wine. be generous!
then throw in the greens. throw a spoon of butter over it when serving.
these 2 buggers don't even wait for the cook!
made them washed the dishes, for not waiting.
it was a night of eating. after dinner, it was bubble tea. then we went home. only to come out later around 1am for pancakes @ pancake parlour, doncaster.
